Social Rehabilitation

Social Rehabilitation is a wellness service providing a therapeutic, supportive environment. Individuals supported engage in community-based or facility-based educational and recreational activities that help persons with mental health diagnoses improve social skills and interpersonal relationships, while building strong community ties. Milestone staff provide structured activities geared toward living, learning, working, and overall health and wellness.

Events include but are not limited to: arts and crafts, participation in mutual hobbies, attending sporting events, job fairs, movies, picnics, walks, or forming sports teams.

SERVICES FOR PERSONS WHO ARE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING

Milestone’s services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing include outpatient therapy, social rehabilitation, psychiatric assessment, and medication monitoring.  

The program is administered by staff who are deaf and/or are proficient in American Sign Language and knowledgeable about Deaf culture.
