Milestone Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) Northwest is an integral part of a long-term initiative of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Office of Developmental Programs, to support and improve the physical and behavioral health care services for citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Milestone HCQU Northwest provides professional training to developmental disability providers in nine Northwestern Pennsylvania counties, thus setting the standard for care.
Milestone HCQU Northwest serves Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Potter, and Warren Counties.
Training
Through training, the HCQU team increases the capacity and competency of community physical and behavioral care providers. It works to establish data sharing and analysis resources dedicated to improving the health care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
