Crimes against people with disabilities are often challenging for professionals who respond to crime victims.  Although people with disabilities experience sexual assault at a rate seven times higher than people without disabilities, they do not often have access to victim services.  We will hear what justice means to people with disabilities by listening to the voices of survivors.  Together we will all reimagine what trauma informed best practices should look like for victims with disabilities.

Pam Malin has worked at the intersection of disability and abuse for over 35 years.  Ms. Malin is currently working at Disability Rights Wisconsin as a Lead Advocacy Specialist for victims of crime with disabilities.
