Upcoming Webinars

May 9th   Mental Health Awareness

According to the CDC, mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Would you like to know more about mental health and the common factors are that affect it?  Would you like to learn warning signs that a person’s mental health is deteriorating and also how to improve it?  Please join Connie Copley for her presentation of mental health awareness.

May 16th    Intermittent Explosive Disorder

Intermittent Explosive Disorder is a diagnosis frequently given to people with I/DD who experience explosive outbursts, but has historically been a somewhat vague diagnosis.  Recent research has led to clarity with regard to what constitutes IED (including the dynamics of typical IED episodes) as well as risk factors and possible causes.  Better understanding has also led to improved strategies for treatment and support.  This training will provide information on all of these topics and more to enhance the learner’s understanding of what an IED diagnosis really means.

May 23rd   Lyme Disease
