The Centers for Disease Control reports that up to 20% of U.S. children experience behavioral health challenges. Milestone is committed to supporting affected children in Western Pennsylvania.
Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services
Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services is a psychotherapeutic service that “wraps care around” the child/adolescent in his/her environment. Services are provided in the home, school and community, by mental health professionals. The child, parents, school, case managers and any other necessary providers play an active role in the planning of services. Milestone provides these services to clients who live in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.
School-Based Services
Milestone provides behavioral health support to students in the following school districts: Penn Hills, Riverview, Wilkinsburg and Riverview Children’s Center. The services are unique to each district and based on the needs of the students.
Service Coordination and Clinical
This recovery-oriented program utilizes natural supports to assist children with mental health challenges achieve recovery, employment, educational opportunities and self-sufficiency. Service Coordinators provide linkage, referral, benefit assistance, coordination of care services, advocacy and 24/7/365 emergency response services.
